A Christmas Eve Poem

It’s Christmas Eve, and all through the house, is the sound of…crying as monkeys got another cold!

There’s prosecco, champagne, chocolate and cheese, eating and drinking all that will be a breeze.

My family are here to celebrate this time of year, with lots of laughter and fun, we might end up weighing a ton.

With presents still to wrap and food still to buy, I hope it’s quiet and there’s no need to sigh.

Christmas Eve is my favourite day of the year, a honeycomb latte will give me something to cheer.

Then early to bed for Santa to arrive, it’s the only way us parents will survive!

So merry Christmas everyone, have a lovely time off with your family. Before we know it, it will be January.
