Everything happens for a reason…

So those of you that follow my blog know that I recently just started a new job.

I was so excited about it and couldn’t wait to be in this great new role and for life to settle down.

The job unfortunately wasn’t what it was supposed to be. I was having to work every weekend meaning that I would take 2 days off in the week to see monkey. Then daddy would have to look after him at weekends.

I was devastated and it honestly destroyed me.

I had no option but to put my monkey first. I couldn’t have him having 2 days with me and then 2 with daddy. What about us as a family?

The day I sat down with my new boss to explain that I was struggling was incredibly difficult. Thankfully he was amazing and knew of another opportunity in a different business owned by the same person.

With a quick whirlwind interview process that week, I got the job!

I am a huge believer that everything happens for a reason. I put my monkey first and did the sensible thing. I was prepared to leave it all for him because not seeing him and hubby at weekends was going to eat me up inside.

But not only did I put him first, I also got the best role I could have asked for! Something I wouldn’t have got if I just stayed and tried to cope with the difficult hours and not seeing my family.

So I start my new role officially on Monday. That’s why I’ve been even more absent from my blog than I had hoped for.

My parents are coming up this weekend for an early birthday celebration and I can’t wait.

So will things ever really settle down? Maybe not….but then, maybe it would be boring if they did anyway!

Busy Working Mummy XOXO
