Does anyone else buy clothes and then promise themselves they will throw away something they don’t wear to make a bit of room?
Well I make that promise, but break it every time I buy something new.
This weekend I found myself at a loose end on Saturday afternoon when the rugby was on. Hubby was watching that, and little man was snuggled up with him on the sofa playing on the iPad.
I decided to use this rare opportunity to have a wardrobe clear out.
Now I have the main wardrobe in the bedroom for the majority of my clothes, but in the spare room I also have some bags and some jackets and smart work dresses.
I took everything out and moved everything around.
It took about an hour and a half to move everything, and try on things I didn’t even realise I had.
2 bin bags later, my mission was complete.
I love a good spring clean and a re-fresh of everything in my wardrobe. It always makes me want to wear different things, instead of the same things every day.
In a weird way, it also helps with my anxiety as it calms me down and is incredibly therapeutic; its lovely when it is all clean and tidy and in order.
Now it is getting warmer, it is also time for us to go on a shopping spree for little mans clothes.
I usually buy a new season wardrobe for him every few months. It is much easier now he is bigger and not growing as quickly.
So with another weekend gone, and a list of clothes to buy I will spend my lunch breaks wandering round the shops filling in the gaps in our wardrobes ready for springs official arrival.
Have you had the opportunity recently to have a rummage through your wardrobes and get ready for spring?
