I was asked by Elf for Christmas to review their Elf’s First Adventure story. Little man got his first Elf on the Shelf this year, and he hasn’t really grasped the concept yet.
He tends to stare at the Elf and just tell him off for being naughty. Next year he will completely understand what the Elf on the Shelf is about and will get a lot more involved.
The Elf’s First Adventure story is perfect to explain the story behind the Elf on the Shelf.
It is a lovely book that shows Santa giving the Elf lots of special jobs to do on the lead up to Christmas.
It then leads him to finding a family to look after and make sure that the children are being good for Santa.
The thought behind the book is brilliant. It is such a lovely story to read at the beginning of December when you start integrating their Elf in to the household.
Little man loved pointing out Santa and the Elf – possibly his favourite part was saying how big the moon was in the pictures.
I would definitely buy this book to work alongside the Elf on the Shelf. It is a story you can read all throughout December too as it is incredibly festive.
So this year even though little man may still be that little bit too small to understand, he still loves to read and look at the pictures of Santa; which is why this book is perfect.
