So I start my final week with my head held high; proud of what I have achieved but knowing that by Friday, I will pack up my desk and walk out of my office ready to start a brand new chapter.
So as promised, for those that follow my blog and social media you will know that I had been planning my best friends hen weekend for the past few months.
Sometimes, you have to pick your battles with children, and a football lesson might be one battle that I am not willing to fight at the moment. Maybe when he is a little older and not a devil child aka toddler going through the terrible two’s.
Being quite a young mum means that sometimes people may look at me and say I have my priorities all wrong. All I am trying to do is find a balance. A balance for me, my friends and my family.
So, when one day there was no parent & child spaces available in the car park, I realised how important they are to us parents. How are we supposed to get our children out of a car seat without smashing the car door of the person parked next to us?
The ups and downs are all part of growing up. Bad things happen, and we cannot expect to all live happily ever after. But what we can do is to make bloody well sure that our children have the best start in life that we can give them to fight these battles alongside us.
I think we can all agree that there is nothing better than using a bag of chocolate buttons as a bargaining tool for a toddler. Yes I hold my hands up. I bribe my child with chocolate!
