After the weekends birthday events for little man, I had failed to remember that it was also my 1st blogging anniversary on the 21st August.
I started blogging on his 1st birthday. You can find my first ever post here.
I had been back at work for 6 months, and had got to a point where I wanted to learn something else. Something that I had always had a passion for.
Hubby asked me what I wanted to do. My answer? I wanted to write.
So I did. I embarked on a course with the British College of Journalism which was an intense 12 week course.
I completed it just before Christmas 2015 and became a freelance journalist.
Along with this new tag, I decided to write a blog. I now have my own little corner of the internet, and I love it.
The day I sat at my laptop and researched how to set up my account and how to start blogging, I never knew what a huge network it really was.
I learnt about linkies. I set up a twitter account. I became one of those people that positioned different items to make them look better for a picture to put on Instagram.
Do you know what? I wouldn’t change any of it.
So much time and effort goes in to writing and pulling everything together – more than I originally thought.
It is still a hobby. I haven’t made much of an income from it so far, but I am still a newbie blogger.
I have however had some lovely opportunities to review products and work with some great brands.
Writing has made me find some of my confidence again. It has helped me grow as an individual; as a mother.
So if I can continue to work with more brands and still feel as passionate about my blog in another years time, then I will be one very happy lady.
