Mummy’s working…again!

Another weekend has been and nearly gone. The last 3 weekends we have had plans on a Sunday or I have been working.

This weekend has been no exception. We are definitely living up to my blog name of Busy Working Mummy.

I am still loving my Saturday’s with little man. We didn’t have swimming this weekend as it is summer holidays, and part of me wondered what I could do with him for a whole day.

So as I was in the gym in the morning, I decided to be brave and take him for a coffee date all on my own before lunch time.

So off we went, with snacks, toys and books in tow, praying for no tantrums or runaway toddlers games.

We had a lovely time. We may have only been sat there for 20 minutes but little man enjoyed a babyccino and marshmallow, whilst I drank a whole pot of tea – and it was hot!

Off we then went to collect me our food shopping and head home for lunch and nap time.

Those little things for most parents must feel exactly that…little things. But for me, it was a massive achievement, given my lack of confidence in taking little man out on my own.

Daddy arrived home just before bed time. It was early for him, but perfect timing for me as I could start pouring that wine a little earlier than planned.

It is now Sunday and I am getting ready to go off to work this evening to meet a client with a large event on over the next couple of days. Yes, Mummy is working again.

I seem to be saying that a lot recently.

I cannot wait for little mans birthday weekend in a couple of weeks where we are heading out for the day to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, and we can spend time as a family – not just me trying to play with him, as well as cook dinner, clean the house or put a wash on.

A day to celebrate that he has been in my life for 2 years.

So I hope you have all enjoyed your weekends, and are loving the summer holidays with the kiddies. If not, you can always come and help me out at work…you are always welcome!

  1. Aww it’s so hard but at least when you are there you have lovely quality time with him! I am now on the 5 day countdown to maternity leave! I can’t wait to spend lots of lovely time with Zach but equally I’m like, oh, I’m gonna have to feed him! Thanks for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday
