We had such a lovely weekend just gone, and it really made me start to enjoy autumn and make the most of the crisp fresh air outside playing with my little man.
Saturday followed the usual pattern of swimming in the morning followed by a lunch time nap, then food shopping with Daddy.
I took the opportunity to go to the gym whilst he was asleep and surprised them both by turning up in Tesco. I was passing by so i thought i may as well be nosey and see what the daddy son bonding shopping experience entailed….i wish i had gone straight home for a shower and a cuppa.
Sunday we went over to visit my hubby’s grandparents who live in Stoke and also his brother and sister in law who were up from the South West for the weekend. We enjoyed a lovely roast dinner and little man had such a great time playing outside in the park. It was nice to be out for the day, and for him to spend some time with his Auntie & Uncle and Great-Grandparents.
It is funny how you notice just how child friendly our house actually is now compared to others. I should have just walked around with a sign saying NO on it….
Little man is at that stage where he is pushing the boundaries and learning right from wrong. He is constantly looking for things to destroy, move, throw or eat, so it is a constant battle.
He does know what NO means though, he just chooses to ignore it at the moment.
So the weekend flew by without time think about too much in particular. Next family event is the weekend where my in-laws are coming up for a pre-christmas celebration!
I can hear a lie in calling my name!
Signing off for the day
